I'm obsessed with French style right now - always so chic and well-proportioned, they know exactly how to dress, and no two people look the same. This look in particular came from Garance Dore's blog, always filled with the best in French style inspiration.

Balmain FW11 RTW

Very much a collection filled with opulence and luxury, Balmain's latest made it very difficult for me to pick my top looks. From fully gilded 60s-inspired long-sleeve shift mini dresses, tailored metallic blazers, cropped pants in neutral colours, (and you can't forget those mid-calf boots that rocked every outfit!), Balmain has defined a look for spring that I will be pulling for inspiration for a while to come. The detailing blows my mind - must have taken so long to do, as it was likely hand-stitched. Definitely one of my favourite collections from Paris Fashion Week 2011.

Nicole Richie & Kanye West at the Jean Paul Gaultier FW11 RTW Show

Take note: Nicole wears a beautiful flowing cape from Gaultier's SS11 collection during Paris Fashion Week, while posing with rap superstar Kanye West (sporting a leather-trim blazer and heirloom-inspired necklace). Following iconic designer Jean Paul Gaultier's controversial showing, Nicole tweeted "Bravo Gaultier! The silver and gold hair was MAJOR!!!" Hopefully this means that we will continue to see Gaultier's stunning designs sometime in the near future, regardless of his recent dismissal from Dior.
