WARDROBE ESSENTIALS: SLOUCHY HAT

Throughout high school I was such an accessory girl, always wearing a slouchy beanie or beret and a scarf of some sort. This fall I have yet to find my go-to finishing touches (minus a leopard scarf that I wear with EVERYTHING), though this thick knit cable beret from Bop Basics has me obsessed.

Wardrobe Essentials: Sunglasses

(Left to right) Top row, Kurt Geiger "Sienna," Karen Walker "Number One," Thierry Lasry "Lively Lace." Second row, Ray-ban "Iconic Style Aviator Metal," Illesteva "Leonard 2," Ray-ban "P-Retro Cat." Third row, The Row "Linda Farrow," Karen Walker "The Village," vintage. Last row, H&M, Charles Anastase x Linda Farrow "Octagonal," Dries Van Noten "Retro Style." For further details, click here.

I'm definitely going to end up buying and losing a hundred pairs of sunglasses yet again this summer, but I always love the opportunity to buy a new pair. These are some of my favourites this season.

Aritzia SS11 Cardigans

Take note: Floaty and feminine, Aritzia's latest collection of cardigans has me craving that easy draped look that is so in this season. Pair with lightweight denim, camisoles, and flowy scarves for your spring uniform.

Masahiko Maruyama SS11 Lookbook - Nude

Draped basics filled up this Japanese brand's spring/summer 2011 lookbook, rightfully named "Nude," for its minimalist silhouettes. Veering away from jolting brights, the brand's adoption of black, white, and sometimes grey worked perfectly with the simple, and at times dainty clothing. Check out more of the lookbook here.

Low Rider

Acne Rider Low leather boots, $482, gargyle.com. So badass without embellishments. I love these boots for all seasons; definitely a good wardrobe investment piece for its versatility. It's a classic take on this season's trendy ankle bootie with a low heel and neutral color.
